Feeling Better

28.4.12

I’ve been pretty under the weather for the past week, but I’m finally feeling much better. When I first noticed I was coming down with something, I felt extremely frustrated that it was the same flu that’s been going around my work. First of all, I’ve been able to avoid the other bugsĀ that have passed though until now. And second of all, a big pet peeve of mine is people who come to work sick. Why??? Eventually, my frustration subsided and after a couple days of doing absolutely nothing and getting taken care of, I realized that it was exactly what I needed. I had hit a wall, and my body told me “not a minute more”. I’m glad I listened. I’m also glad to start going to the gym again and not eating 2-3 servings of ice cream a day. Kind of.

So, take your vitamin C, eat LOTS of leafy greens (I swear by this), and please please don’t come to work if you’re sick. Have a great weekend!

I have a tendency to keep going and going when I start to feel sick. I never just listen to my body and take time to rest, so I usually end up much worse than I would have been otherwise!

    Glad you’re feeling better!

I can’t stand that! I understand that sometimes work is unavoidable but stay home if you are sick! I have encountered the same thing with my child’s Mother’s Day Out program. My son has been sick every two weeks since September because moms will bring their sick kids, no matter what. Ahhhh!!!!
