Oh, Hi Tuesday.

Is there anything worse than waking up 30 minutes before your alarm is set to go off? Yes, waking up to debilitating cramps. 5 Ibuprofen and 30 minutes with a heating pad later and I almost felt ready to face my 5 am alarm. I hope this gets better because tonight we’re going to see my new favorite band, Tennis. So excited!!

What do you do when this happens? I have been getting these cramps lately that I haven’t felt since high school. It’s awful. I know caffeine can make it worse (as I drink a cup of coffee) but remember my 5 am alarm clock? It’s kinda necessary. So I don’t know. Lots of painkillers and heating pads?

I have a whole list of helpful (or maybe not so helpful) ideas. I ‘had’ to ask around cause I was dying. So..this is what ppl told me. – bananas-chamomile or pepmt tea-Thermacare heat pads-b12-lobelia extract-milk with honey-calcium w/D&magnesium-comfrey tea-alfalfa tea-tbsp water w/ a pinch of ginger(this was sworn by)-rounded tsp of salt in water – and last..masturbation (srsly). I have tried the teas. They work well..and I love Thermacare heat pads (but get ones for ur back and use in front). Hope smth helps!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. My sister said she wants to try every single one! Masturbation I’m sure works because it probably relaxes you in the end :)

I thought Tennis was playing LA on Wednesday so wouldn’t that be the show you would see or are you catching a show in OC or SD. My grandma would always say to drink lemon juice for camps. She would make it with something and it would work.

The LA show was sold out and people were selling tickets on craigslist for $50! So we bought tickets for the show in Santa Ana (the OC) and drove down. It was awesome! And only $12 a ticket. I’m gonna try the lemon. Thanks!

Heating pads and painkillers are my number one route. Eating either salty or potassium-filled, like pretzels or bananas, foods can help too. If you think its… That time of the month (haha) then maybe a kind of birth control will help with the pain. I have to take a perscription for naproxen (Aleve) for my arthritis and it’s simultaneously been helping with those stomach cramps.
